Jayden Hess is a graduate of the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, and a current student at Hagerstown Community College. He’s dedicated to public service, civic engagement and creating opportunities for young people to participate in their democracy. His academic and professional experiences showcase a strong commitment to advocacy, leadership and community organizing. He’s passionate about fighting for students’ civil rights, educating people on voter registration and recognizing the power of their voice. He believes that communities that work together are stronger together.
Currently, Jayden serves as a field organizer for David Trone’s congressional campaign. He gains the ability to work with his community, building strong connections, and supporting initiatives that strengthen civic engagement for all. Being young, Jayden has had setbacks with certain leaders refusing to give young people a seat at the table, he uses this quote to ground himself and keep fighting the good fight.
